From September 8 to 15, 2026, representatives from Firip Mining and Machinery visited Indonesia to attend the 2026 Jakarta International Construction Machinery, Mining, and Concrete Exhibition. The visit aimed to seek new international partners, discuss the latest industry developments, and facilitate the exchange of ideas.
Held annually, this event has successfully completed ten editions. It is a specialized trade show in Southeast Asia dedicated to the concrete and construction machinery sectors, bringing together key local manufacturers in the construction industry. The merger of the concrete exhibition with the construction machinery exhibition has firmly established this event as a premier professional platform for Indonesia's construction sector. Indonesia has experienced steady annual economic growth, and Goldman Sachs projects it will become the world's seventh-largest economy by 2050. Recognizing the critical importance of infrastructure investment to the nation's future, the government has prioritized infrastructure development within the MP3EI framework (the Indonesian government's master plan for economic development). With the construction industry contributing 10.45% to the country's GDP, the government prioritizes budget allocations for infrastructure projects across most regions of the country.
Indonesia is a key nation in Southeast Asia, boasting a strategic location that serves as a transportation hub connecting Asia and Oceania, as well as the Pacific and Indian Oceans. As the world's fourth most populous country, Indonesia had a total population of 278 million as of 2023. Its economy is consumption-driven, with consumer spending accounting for approximately 60% of GDP and market demand continuing to expand. Among the ASEAN nations, Indonesia holds the largest economy, the largest population, and the greatest land area. The market size for ready-mixed concrete in Indonesia reached 107.22 million cubic meters in 2024 and is projected to hit 162.4 million cubic meters by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.16% during the forecast period (2024–2030). The residential sector is the largest consumer of ready-mixed concrete and mortar in Indonesia. Indonesia is investing $32 billion to relocate its capital from Jakarta northeast to East Kalimantan; the new capital will be named "Nusantara." Construction is proceeding rapidly, and as of March 2025, approximately 500 civil servants (ASN) and officials from the IKN Authority have moved into 120 apartment units.
Over the course of a seven-day visit, we had the opportunity to meet with numerous local brick-and-mortar clients, gaining valuable insights into how our products are used and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. We will now synthesize the findings from this market research to develop products that can effectively meet the needs of the Indonesian mining sector.
